A Fertile Moment in Time
-
In the mid 1970’s I brought video technology and knowledge of how to use it to Maine, teaching many others to make documentaries with small groups and minority communities so as to find and then have their voices heard, to make social change, and to teach. I also documented the back to the landers movement in Central Maine which was a fertile period of community building and social invention that brought collective theater and pageant, organic farming, owner built homes, herbal healing, land trusts, and the grain revolution to the region. That story is told in the documentary, A Fertile Moment in Time (2026).
